An authentic village resort of south Savoy, ideal for cross country skiing, Albiez Montrond overlooks the Maurienne valley and offers a superb sunlit panorama. Symbol of the Sybelles, Albiez Montrond is located on a vast open plateau facing the majestic Aiguilles d’Arves (3514m). The resort has a large ski domain and offers over 30km of cross country runs and 40km of runs equipped with 18 ski lifts; and for all you real fanatics the Albiez Montrond snowpark has its own ski lift. Located between 1510m and 2200m, Albiez Montrond is a resort accessible to all skiers, with the highest skiable sport being at 2430m.
In a convivial and warm atmosphere, Albiez Montrond is the ideal resort for a family holiday. There is a kindergarten open for children aged from 3 months to 6 years of age.
Albiez Montrond offers a great number of sports activities, in the winter as well as the summer: hiking, glaciers, cross country skiing, dog sledding, nocturnal skiing, snow scooters, Joëring ski with donkeys, horse riding, rock climbing and paragliding. For you less sporty people, guided visits of the cultural heritage of the resort, lovely walks under paper lanterns, breakfast in the near wilderness, and many more for you to discover. And if you’re feeling a little curious, why not go visit Albiez Montrond’s legends trails, the Moine de Champlan, the Cheminées des Fees and the Demoiselles Coiffées. When it comes to cultural after ski, Albiez has the history of its famous knife, the Opinel, and the resorts opens its beautiful churches and baroque chapels.
